Gift Aid is a government initiative that allows charities to claim back the basic rate of tax on received donations, increasing the donation amount by 25% at no extra cost to the person making the donation.

In practical terms this means that a £50 gift-aided donation to the UCO would be worth £64.10, which would equate to two hours' worth of treatment at our community clinic for older people.

All UK taxpayers are eligble to make Gift Aid donations - all you need to do is complete a Gift Aid declaration when you make a donation to allow the UCO to claim back the tax, and you'll be ensuring your money goes even further.
