World Mental Health Day

It's World Mental Health Day on 10 October, and to mark the occasion the UCO has organised a week of activities for our students and staff.

Please do take the time to join us for some or all of them if you can:

Monday 9 October

12-1pm - 5km run or power walk to help "sweat the stresses out".

6.15pm - " Getting to know anxiety", a talk by councellor Clive Carswell on understanding and managing anxiety.

Tuesday 10 October

12.40pm - Mind Management workshop with Swami Jyothirmayah (pictured), a highly-regarded teacher and lecturer on yoga and meditation. 

Wednesday 11 October

6.30pm - Screening of 'To the Bone', a film exploring body image issues.

Thursday 12 October

7pm - A morning yoga rave, featuring yoga, meditation, flash mob, mantra sounds and smoothies - bring your yoga mat and breakfast!
