Chris has been teaching at the UCO since 2001, becoming a full-time tutor in 2003.

Chris has taught osteopathic technique at every level of the course both full-time and part-time and is passionate about teaching structural osteopathy. He is the Unit Leader for osteopathic technique for full-time years 2, 3 & 4 and is also the Unit Leader for the 1st year full-time Patient Care Unit.

As the academic tutor for the final-year students on the full-time programme, he also leads the Learning for Professional Autonomy Unit helping to prepare students for their first year in practice.

Chris was in the general clinic for many years, but after caring for his brother, now soley concentrates on people living with HIV. He has worked alongside Paul Blanchard and Danny Church in the Royal Free Hospital and the Blanchard Clinic, which he found both fascinating and rewarding.   

Chris has also been working on the Access to HE Diploma (Osteopathic Sciences and Health Care) for over 12 years and is leading the Ethics and Practice of Osteopathy Unit.

When not at the University, Chris is in private practice in Upminster, is the Beadle to the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers and is a Freeman of the City of London.
