Will is Chief Librarian at the University College of Osteopathy (formerly the British School of Osteopathy) since September 1986, as well as Co-ordinator of Learning Resources since 1997.
Will read Philosophy in the School of Cultural and Community Studies at the University of Sussex graduating with a BA degree in 1972, then he gained a BA in History from the University of London in 1978. Following this, he studied for an MA in History at the University of Keele from 1978-80, then for an MA & DipLib in Information Science at the University College London from 1981-82.
Will published articles published in the European Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care, Health Libraries Review, British Osteopathic Journal, and the International Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, among others.
He has presented papers at the European Society for the Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care Annual Conferences since 1993. Will also proofreads, edits and writes for the British Osteopathic Journal.
Today, Will manages and advances the UCO’s Library and information services. He started and runs the UCO’s computer centre with word‑processing and spreadsheet packages, CD‑ROMs and the Internet, automating library systems. He produces subject bibliographies and research guides, for example, ‘Researching and Writing a Project,’ ‘Study Methods’, ‘Guide to Copyright’.
Will is married, with four children and five grandsons.
