Before starting my degree, my main aspiration was to represent my country as a therapist at major event such as the Olympics.

Through hard work and perseverance my dream came true and the UCO (then the BSO) was essential in making that happen. Since graduating I have attended two Olympic Games and am looking forward to the next in Tokyo.

Since graduating I have changed a lot as a therapist and now focus my work mainly on specialising with performance-related issues in sport. I love problem solving and taking on difficult cases with supporting teams of professionals that include doctors, physiotherapist and massage therapist.

I have been a practicing Osteopath since 2009 and have worked with dozens of high-profile professional and Olympic athletes. Recently I served as a Great Britain team therapist at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and have worked with many GB Team Athletes.

Currently I work privately in elite sport, treating international track and field stars, England Rugby players, Lion Rugby players and premiership football players.

My research interests are focused on how manual therapy can influence the performance and management of an athlete, particularly relating to the teaching and attainment of full movement capacity within a training environment to ensure a broader understanding.

My main focus at present is to help develop 'up-and-coming' osteopaths who wish to work in elite sport. I develop, organise and deliver practical workshops and conferences which provide an advanced pathway for therapists looking to get involved in sport. Details of my next event can be found at www.risingevents.co.uk.
