Pietro is an MSc Osteopathy (Pre-Reg) student at the UCO.

I chose osteopathy because...

Having just graduated in Physiotherapy, I felt the need to improve my manual therapy skills and to enrich my approach and strategies with patients through the osteopathic holism.

I chose to study at the UCO because...

Of its history, its prestige and its leading role in the European osteopathic community.

My favourite aspect of the course is...

That it provides the students with sufficient skills, knowledge and experience for autonomous clinical practice, as well as showing the many study and working opportunities that students will have once graduated, preparing us for the future.

The atmosphere at the UCO is...

Unimaginably great and friendly between students of all years, thanks to an amazing work by the guys managing the Students' Union. Most of the staff, the lecturers and the clinic tutors are awesome at creating a relaxed and welcoming educational atmosphere as well. Obviously, being demanding students in a challenging and evolving learning environment is never easy, so stressful periods are to be faced as well, but there will be plenty of people ready to help and support you the best way they can, every time.

The best thing about studying in London is...

The endless number of events and the activities (and relative student discounts) that this city has to offer.

My plans for the future are...

To get some working experience here in London, then continuing my education further, hopefully with a PhD before setting up my own practice somewhere warmer than the UK!

If you were to give one reason why someone should choose to study at the UCO, what would it be?

The capacity to prepare students for “real life” practice whilst increasing their awareness of their future and the infinite options they will have once graduated.
