The University College of Osteopathy is hosting its biannual International Education Conference in December 2019.

The conference will be an opportunity for educators and osteopaths from around the world of osteopathy and related disciplines (chiropractic, physiotherapy, dietetics and nutrition) to meet, exchange practice and to learn from each other.

We welcome the submission of abstracts from colleagues for workshops and platform presentations on topics related to practical and theoretical education of student in healthcare. Responding to student needs is at the heart of education and we welcome submissions and attendance from students.

The conference aims to share information about innovative curriculum developments, and findings from research studies into different educational delivery processes and their effects on student learning outcomes.

Keynote lectures, platform presentations, posters and workshops will address important questions about our current position and future directions.

We are delighted that Dr Brett Vaughan from Melbourne University and Steven Vogel from the UCO have agreed to provide keynote lectures entitled:

  • How to educate osteopathic clinicians? – Brett Vaughan
  • What skills do educators need to support students use of evidence-based practice in their learning? – Steven Vogel

Abstracts should be submitted by 15 September 2019 and authors will be informed about acceptance by 27 September 2019.
