Here at the UCO, we recognise that students have individual requirements and some may need different levels of support in progressing to higher education.

Which is why we work with different targeted groups across several different networks to raise aspirations and attainment. These targeted groups include but are not limited to young people from a care background, disabled students, young adult carers, estranged students, asylum seeking and refugee students, and students from ethnic minority backgrounds.

Find out more about the steps we are taking to widen access to higher education from our Access and Participation Plan, approved by the Office for Students.

The UCO offers a number of workshops and taster days designed to help students on the path to higher education, some examples of which are listed below. If you would be interested in booking a session for your students or would like to discuss other ways we can support them please get in touch at marketing@uco.ac.uk.
