Title: Clinical methods
Date: 22 November 2020
Cost: £109 - £135
Speaker: Trevor Jefferies
Due to current difficult financial situation for most osteopaths, the UCO has decided to support you accessing CPD by offering payments in two 50% instalments (up to 6 weeks prior to the course - i.e 11 October). The first payment is processed on Eventbrite when you book your place, and for the second payment, the UCO finance team will contact you a couple of weeks before the course.
About the course
This course is an opportunity for people to revise and practice the systems testing procedures which all osteopaths and other first line health practitioners learn in order to assess the systemic health of patients. Since these procedures are seldom needed in ordinary day to day practice, you may find you've become a little "rusty".
There will be an opportunity to cover the theory and practice involved in cardiovascular examination, respiratory examination and elements of neurological testing. There will be time to cover some other testing elements as requested by the delegates on the day.
Osteopathic practice standards and other CPD elements covered
A Communication and patient partnership A2, A3, A4, A6
B Knowledge, skills and performance B1, B2, B3
C Safety and quality in practice C1, C2
D Professionalism D10
