Clive Carswell

Clive is a counsellor at the UCO and lectures in counselling skills and theory at Birkbeck, University of London.

Clive has a small private practice in which he works as a counsellor, supervisor and group facilitator. He initially trained as a counsellor in the eclectic approach at the Roehampton Institute and later as a psychodynamic counsellor at Birkbeck, University of London. 

Additional training includes studying psychoanalytical theory at the Tavistock Institute and group analysis at the Institute of Group Analysis.

Clive has had a number of articles published in the Counselling and Psychotherapy Journal and Therapy Today as well as a chapter on 'Working with Reluctant Clients' for 'Key Issues for Counselling in Practice' (Sage Publications  Ltd, 2008).
